Top Drawer A / W comes to a close
After welcoming thousands of retail buyers and brands to Olympia London over the past three days, Top Drawer A/W22 has come to a close, having delivered another stellar edition of the premium design-led trade show.
The likes of Avoca, Argos, Blue Diamond Group, British Garden Centres, Farfetch, Fenwick, Fortnum & Mason, Garsons, Habitat, Harrods, Haskins Garden Centres, HMV, Hoopers, Jarrold Department Store, John Lewis, JoJo Maman Bebe, Lark London, Liberty, Lords at Home, Marks and Spencer, Mint Velvet, Morley's, Oliver Bonas, Paperchase, Paul Smith, RHS Enterprises, Sainsburys, SCP, Scribbler, Southbank Centre, TJX Europe, Urban Outfitters, the V&A, Vinegar Hill, Waterstones, White Stuff, Whole Foods, WHSmith Travel and ZSL all discovered designs from both established and emerging brands that their customers will love ahead of the all-important Christmas season.
The show had a strong international flavour, with 42 countries represented across the 3 days, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States and Zimbabwe among others.
A true celebration of the industry as well as a sourcing opportunity, success was seen in every corner of the show floor.
Of their time at the show, Georgi Doig from Lil Wabbit said: “This was our first trade show and we have met lots of new people! All orders have been with new stockists and it’s been really positive to interact in-person with our buyers.”
Sharing similar sentiments, Susan O'Halon said: “It’s been a fantastic show – one of our best in 16 years. A lovely atmosphere, totally smooth running, and we were busy with orders the whole time.”
Pianna Addison of Hyggen adds “The last three days at Top Drawer have been amazing. We have met so many wonderful people.”
Priya Aurora-Crowe from Lark London enjoyed her time visiting the event: “It was an absolute pleasure. Thank you for such a wonderful show.”
This was echoed by James Green from Carrie & Co., who declared “It was AMAZING… There were so many incredible creators there. Everything from chocolate to candles, stationery to socks… and so many things in between… an incredible trade show.”
Show Manager, David Westbrooke comments: “In the run-in to the event, we were more driven than ever to ensure that Top Drawer A/W22 was a meaningful destination for our community to invest their time and energy. We were delighted to welcome over 130 brand new exhibitors to the fair, offering an unparalleled level of newness for the A/W season. We know how important the show is for our customers, so we were thrilled to see both visitors and exhibitors have such success, and look forward to welcoming everyone back in January, for Top Drawer S/S23.”
In addition to placing orders, visitors to Top Drawer were able to experience Retail Fest, which showcased exclusive insight and informative sessions from the likes of Holly Tucker (pictured), Priscilla Pollara and Natasha Courtenay-Smith. Sessions were specially designed to help brands overcome common challenges as well as elevate their digital footprint and brand storytelling. The next edition of the show, Top Drawer S/S23 will take place at Olympia London from 15 to 17 January 2023.
