My love of art and design started at a young age and I always knew that I would do something creative in my line of work.
I studied Fashion Design in Bournemouth and completed a National Diploma. Shortly into my HND I decided fashion wasn’t for me and left for London.
I loved to sew so I took the first job I could that was connected to Interiors, working for a soft furnishing company making high end bespoke curtains and blinds. This I now find to be invaluable experience and knowledge into fabrics and how they make up/work for different situations and what treatments are best for different areas. During this time I also started the KLC design course working from home.
I then made the move to another London Company Cameron Broom where I took a placement as their showroom assistant working my way up to be their head residential designer – Working there for 16 years I had been very lucky to work on some amazing projects that taught me how to work with clients/trades and suppliers. This knowledge is priceless in making sure that all my clients get the best service, advice and value for money.
My move to the Cotswolds happened after my second baby was born – I continued to work for Cameron broom in London commuting 2 days a week. After my third baby was born 5 years later I decided it was time to leave London and set up on my own. FLOELLA INTERIORS was born (named after my first two children, Florence and Ella.
Since starting FLOELLA INTERIORS It has been quite a learning curve but an exciting one………..I am learning to embrace everything that comes my way and be open to the different paths that the business is taking me. The business started as Interior Design and soft furnishings but as well as this I have been so lucky to have widened my business to include styling and visual merchandising.
